About:
Catherine E. Patla received a Doctor of Health Science from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in September 1998.  Dr. Patla is a 1976 graduate of University of Pennsylvania Certificate program and obtained a Master of Medical Science Degree in Orthopaedic Physical Therapy from Emory University in 1988.  Dr. Patla has also received a Manual Therapy Certification from the Institute of Physical Therapy and is an Orthopaedic Specialist from ABPTS.  She is also a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Therapy (AAOMPT).  A member of the University of St. Augustine’s faculty since 1979, Dr. Patla’s current interests are in extremity orthopaedics, reliability and validity of end-feel, and critical thinking.  She teaches the University’s first professional Doctor of Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy degree programs.
