Lesh, PhD, MPA, PT, SCS, ATC graduated from the University of Missouri-Columbia with a Bachelor's of Health Science Degree in Physical Therapy and he completed the requirements to sit for the National Athletic Training Association certification exam at the University of Arkansas-Fayetteville. He completed a Master's Degree in Public Administration through Arkansas State University and a Ph.D. in Organization and Management through Capella University, Minneapolis, MN. Dr. Lesh has also successfully completed the requirements to become a Board Certified Clinical Specialist in Sports Physical Therapy from the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties (ABPTS) and has earned an educational certificate in Distance Learning through Capella University. Dr. Lesh currently serves as the President and chief educational consultant with RidgeCrest Learning, Inc. and possesses extensive physical therapy and athletic training clinical experience encompassing neurological rehabilitation, orthopedics, sports medicine, game coverage, acute care, long term care, and home health. Dr. Lesh also has significant experience in the administration of health care services as he developed a private rehabilitation corporation in Northwest Arkansas, serving both as President and Clinical Director, administrating an acute care rehab facility, two outpatient clinics, a long term care facility, several home health contracts, and sports medicine outreach services. Academically, he has been on the faculty of John Brown University, Arkansas State University, Southwest Baptist University, and the Northwest Arkansas Community College as well as a guest lecturer at the University of Arkansas. Current research interests include the effectiveness of learning and new instructional technologies in the classroom as well as functional outcome measurements in sports medicine. Dr. Lesh has written two textbooks, several scholarly articles, and has presented regionally, nationally, and internationally on topics including leadership, strategic planning, eCommerce, eMarketing, and the effects of educational technology on the learner. |
