About: Dr. Varela graduated from the University of North Florida with a major in physical therapy and a minor in athletic training. He completed his MHSc degree and DPT degree at the University of St. Augustine. Additionally, he has completed his fellowship residency and certification in manual therapy at the University of St. Augustine. He will be receiving fellowship of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Manual Therapists. He taught orthopaedic courses at the University for two years and has since returned to fulltime outpatient clinical work in Sarasota, FL.
