Phone: (904) 826-0084 x217 Email: WNitsch@usa.edu About Me: I earned a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from the State University of New York at Stony Brook in 1979. I’ve worked in a variety of settings from acute care to SNF and home health, outpatient rehab, and chronic pain centers. Over the years, I developed a special love for treating musculoskeletal patients. I started taking seminars from the Institute of Physical Therapy in 1991 and completed my Certification in Manual Physical Therapy in 1997. Then I completed by Master of Science in Physical Therapy degree from the University of St. Augustine for Health Sciences in 2000. Currently, I am the Course Coordinator for Advanced Studies, Transitional Doctor of Physical Therapy Coordinator, and an Assistant Professor in the Physical Therapy First Professional Division. My research interests are in patient compliance and the effectiveness of patient education, postural influences of the upper quarter, and faculty issues regarding online education. My professional memberships include: American Physical Therapy Association's Orthopaedic and Education Section, the American Academy of Orthopedic Manipulative Physical Therapists (AAOMPT), and the Council for Adult and Experiential Learning (CAEL). I am currently pursuing her PhD in Education at Capella University. |
